The area supported crops and was ideal for raising cattle, horses, and sheep. Butter and cheese from the area were abundant.

This vibrant community hosts numerous local events throughout the year. Around Christmas time, downtown St. Albans is lit up with a dazzling display of festive trees and lights. There’s even a holiday tractor parade, where farmers decorate their tractors and vehicles with glistening lights to ring in the holiday cheer. Each spring, the three-day Vermont Maple Festival comes to life. Guests can enjoy maple syrup, baked goods, and entertainment.
St. Albans is located on the banks of the stunning Lake Champlain, opening residents to swimming and boating on the lake's blue waters.
